Mia Luce means "my light". A light that symbolizes for the winemaker Kobi Arbiv the light in the work, the art in the wine.
Kobi Arviv founded Mia Luce Winery in 2008 using internationally recognized varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to craft high-quality critically- acclaimed wines. However Arviv, a relentless student and researcher, did not rest and sought a unique identity and style for his winery.
Arviv, a relentless student and researcher, did not rest and sought a unique identity and style for his winery, one that would define him and his work as being authentically and naturally linked to the Mediterranean climate of the region.
Mia Luce wines are characterized by a sophisticated elegance and restrained intensity. Excellent natural acidity partnered with soft, caressing tannins impart the wines an interesting and complex long-aging potential.
Following in-depth research both in Israel and abroad, and the understanding that these varieties best enable the winery to express its philosophy, Mia Luce moved on to the next stage. To this aim, for over a decade already, Kobi has been a leading and precise exponent of using grape stems, doing whole-cluster fermentations, aging in large barrels and more.
